hi everyone, new open source platforms thought ubuntu nice start. sadly, i'm having tons of installation problems if i'm googling solutions. first, tried installing ubuntu via cd of ubuntu, when tried running ubuntu, went did not had network. tried install via cd , here happened. can see, ubuntu not detect hard drive or internet connection (i'm not using wireless - there ethernet cable connected build-in network card). tried installing without emulating via cd first. here picture tried install ubuntu via wubu. here setup selected : , here happened when rebooted followed instructions on forum downloading wubi, extracting iso on folder on destop, using virtual drive open iso... none of them worked out me. when tried boot via cd post-bios while had wubi installation on logical drive, able emulate ubuntu again not install (same problem first installation (doesnt detect drive/network). when tried close ubuntu, ended screen led me won

hello,   i bought acrobat standard create pdfs on word 2013. i'm making catalog using 2 softwares, word 2013 (latest version updates) , acrobat xi (latest version, 11.0.06). unfortunately things not working wish, , on documents @ end of transformation process, can't save pdf file or gives major word error, exiting word.   when transformation process running/ending, there logs created see happens in case of errors?? if yes, can them?? they created in same folder file saved. can print adobe pdf printer? may give clue of problem is. if word crashed, have restart addin in word. indicate @ 11.0.06, updates should not issue. may want try create part pdfs. also, job settings using in pdf maker? problem related trying embed font not licensed embedding. after downloading update acrobat 9 standard yesterday 1/21/2014, program no longer working properly. everytime try open program states "missing pdf maker file. want run installer in repair mode?" let program download repair mode , restart computer , nothing!   please help. have tried answering no, going help>repair , follow help>updates? last resort uninstall (after deactivation), run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html , remove leftover parts of acrobat folder, reboot , reinstall. sure have installation files archived on cd or backup drive , write sn on cd (and previous sn if update) future needs. i'm installing lightroom 5 in classroom of macs os x 10.9. when user logs on computer , starts lightroom, lightroom welcome screen pops again , asks country, , in next screen displays serial number lightroom activated with. after pressing ok user can proceed use lightroom. how avoid welcome screen appearing users? can't have serial number leaking out public this. luckily came while testing installation.   the registration file seems in correct location (/library/application support/adobe/lightroom/lightroom 5.0 registration) it seems lightroom wants write new "lightroom 5.0 registration" file every users library folder, though file in system library folder... i want install ubuntu on friend of mine's dell desktop pc inhered son not able contact. pc running sluggish windows xp. pc has 2 pata hdds. 1 hdd of 40gb positioned @ end of signal cable other 150gb hdd in middle. 40gb hdd jumpered (i believe on pins 7&8 , 5&6). 150gb hdd not. have booted ubuntu live cd , gparted shows middle drive boot. both drives have windows systems installed on them , user data on 40gb end drive. not know windows system booted , used data accessed in on 40gb hdd. advice please on should position drives on signal cable , jumper settings needed. hi, have lenovo s205 netbook , until i'd been happy running xp, had heap of problems trying ubuntu on when bought 6 months ago , gave up. last weekend decided try , sort out, after reading lot of forum , blog posts , reinstalling windows 7, xp , ubuntu (64 bit) on , on again have system can't boot except through liveusb. took advice somewhere reformat hard drive gpt, , create boot partition (with mount point /boot) , install bootloader there. created 50mb efi boot partition according different advice. when turn on laptop doesn't go bootloader @ all. there's boot entry in bios pci lan, , goes automatically this, , bios boot menu screen (not use). if advise me how reinstall bootloader in 1 of boot partitions great. don't care if best thing reformat disk mbr if helps, can't handle reinstall same non-result got last 3 times. wireless on laptop work when disk in ide mode, has stay way. don't know if important info or not. massive i

i bought ebooks kobo; having had register there. downloaded ade onto notebook plus acsm files kobo. having installed ade added acsm files library resulted in books being downloaded. during authorization, find nothing fro kobo, used existing adobe id not recognised. i continued without authorization. after resetting adobe id, can no longer open books in notebook; acer win 8, or other. how can correct problem? this vicious trap adobe lays unsuspecting customers. they give mild warnings, not strong enough. when register 'without id', ade creates anonymous/implicit id limited powers (eg can't used share other devices). whenever first load drm book, copy of book associated whatever id computer registered @ time. any book load while anonymous id active gets associated id, , can't read on other device. when register computer real id, old anonymous id lost. now don't have devices can read book.   you can try contacting kobo , see if can letting have second lot of .acsm fi

i got new hard drive , reinstalled windows , of programs on computer. had acrobat pro x , still have product key it. downloaded acrobat pro xi , tried validate product key , said product key invalid. how can update serial number , reinstall acrobat pro? you either have typo or downloaded wrong product.   your serial number must product you're trying activate.  doesn't make sense try use product key pro x on pro xi.  that's bound fail. hi, i've completed 284 page photo book , trying (and failing) export it.  i'm using indesign cs5 , macbook pro 10.7.5 mountain lion. have tried many, many things try fix including updating cs5, uninstalling , reinstalling it, opening doc in safe mode, getting rid of preferences, adding txt doc rid of background tasks, downloaded app clean memory, moving bunch of files external drive , off mac, turned off preflight, turning off unnecessary apps. i've tried downloading trial version of css , saving doc .imdl, etc etc.   i believe problem has inactive memory. prior attempting upload, restart computer , see in activity monitor have 5 of 8gb free. when start exporting, inactive memory grows , grows until page 110 - when inactive memory 'full' export quits , failed upload message. document 645 mb thinking 5 free gb should suffice doesn't. have tried clearing memory during export process aborts it.   my understanding inactive memory 'switches out' active memory
