as of few days ago i'm experiencing lag when navigating around, scrubbing timeline (as in cursor movement), using keyboard shortcuts, drag selecting keyframes etc. also ram preview shows red warning not playing in realtime.   this pretty new system i'm starting use in anger , has seemed fine until few days ago, , haven't updated knowledge. i've ssd system disk, dedicated ssd ae cache, 2 x hdd (1 projects, 1 render to). i've deleted preferences , purged cache several times , still have issues.   a new empty project seems fine, if make new comp , add new layer starts lag if ctrl-d duplicate layers (after 20) , try ctrl-a , expand property (e.g position p)   as i've been working on few proejct lots of layers on past month , not experienced lag (though have red ram preview warning)     i'm baffled has seemed fine until , i'm not aware of updating prior noticing issue.   any ideas anyone?       specs:   ae cc 12.2.0.52   hardware:   win7 pro cpu - i7-4930k 3.

hey everyone, checking out thread. couple issues can't solve right now. first remote desktop taskbar (the top bar time) crashes. seems related ps3 media server software i'm not sure. when had program set auto start minimized, icon loaded crash taskbar, set start window, no icon, taskbar still crashing shortly after program loads. edit: noticed, on main display media server, there error popup saying 2d unity desktop crashed or along lines. secondly, when remote shutdown "sudo shutdown now" not work. if @ screen connected media server (my ubuntu pc), go purple ubuntu screen whole bunch of errors , stuff come up, bunch can't guess are. pretty annoying since don't want have go on ubuntu pc every time want shut down when i'm on desktop. either problem appreciated. thanks. i have windows 8.1 system running photoshop cc / lightroom 5.2.   i have installed perfect photo suite 8.1.  whenever try call pps module file > automate menu pps opens , photoshop either crashes photoshop has stopped working... error message or hangs (not responding) in task manager.  have end task , re-start photoshop , pps.   i'm not sure if photoshop or onone software issue.   i have checked / updated drivers etc etc , system scratch.   i'd appreciate idea on next.  should there crash log somewhere, , if where?   thanks in advance. that's onone issue. please contact them , see if have updates fix plugin bugs. hello,   i searched forums couldn't find described exact problem.  if i'm repeating discussion, apologies.   the problem:  red , green artifacts appear in captured footage, both preview , final export.  artifacts not appear on tape - @ least not can detect naked eye.  many times artifacts display bits of footage captured entirely different tape, though in shot below it's green gunk on clip.  appears full solid red frame.  these glitches last anywhere 1 5 frames.   things i've tried:  i've cleared cache, i've started entirely new projects , meticuilous unique naming of each clip, separating unique folders.  i've tried various frame rates , resolutions.  have tried blacking tapes before shoot prevent tc breaks.  i've tried capturing in imovie , it, too, seems detect anomoly in clips, though imovie merely breaks clilp in 2 @ points instead of capturing mess.  i've tried closing other programs during capture.  none of has helped problem.   the specs:  s

i bought 2x hp 40l microservers assist nas house , @ office. after reading selected ubuntu server (older version) way forward. fitted each out same ram (2x 4gb eec each) same hdds (4x seagate 2tb drives). servers boot 8 gb kingston flashdrive. installed cd rom, after installation idea remove cdrom pc's not require one. followed how-to found on: http://www.studiob.co.za/setupnas.html first server worked charm, , doing service backup nas @ office. use 3 of drives in raid5 4th drive hot spare. has been working silently , brilliantly week. have been unable setup raid on other machine. @ first did not show linux raid under hardware, after trying few hints other websites, reinstalled. same problem. needless say, followed procedure used first pc exactly. again no linux raid under hardware (in webmin). third install left harddrives connected pc , manually pointed flashdrive. after install , after setting webmin, granted linux raid under hardware. how

"bug" reason, cannot install newer kernel version 2.6.38- (see e.g. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...ux/+bug/841948 ) though, installed ubuntu 10.10 maverick meerkat , runs extremely well. installed nvida drivers using command prompt, using method old beta version installed (260.19.06). recommend me install latest drivers manually? have problems if computer running old linux kernel (2.6.35-32-generic)? thank veru in advance. hi all! installed triple boot configuration (w7, ubuntu 12.10, osx mountain lion, shared partition) , many people in here hate double selection booting caused refit! + grub. far read grub2 (which installed deafult in mbr ubuntu) should able boot loader without chameleon. how can it? understand can "bless" refit disable it. can "un-bless" if need in future? read many tutorials/guide can, if grub-install detect osx , show in boot list, trying select cause verbose launch of mountain lion hang in point. thank you!
