i've started using new camera record footage , saves videos in .avi format h.264 codec.   everytime try import footage camera error message saying 'after effects error: file "x.avi" cannot opened, may in unsupported format ( 86::1 ) . i use after effects cc , problem has never occured before. have tried videos both 1920x1080 , 1280x720 resolutions , error still comes up. converting footage format works lowers frame rate , messes audio.   please help can play these .avi movies h.264 variant using media players on computer, such quicktime player or windows media player? we set new computer , moved fonts it. however, when try access files, told fonts missing. in case, missing fonts arial narrow bold, italic , bold italic. i tried reinstall fonts , told installed. when looked in fonts folder in windows, fonts there, under arial (along arial black fonts), when try use 1 of them in indesign cs6, have choice of: arial: arial narrow, arial bold, arial italic, arial bold italic   i tried pull them out of "arial" group create new "arial narrow" group, computer wouldn't let me that.   how can access arial narrow fonts in bold , italic versions? this known issue versions of arial narrow.  search forum arail narrow , i'm pretty sure you'll find old discussions. hey everyone!  hope you're having great day.  i've got issue (unfortunately it's real whopper!) concerning colors.        color profiles don't seem want along.  bought new asus laptop system default device color profile of srgb iec61966-2.1  (from control panel/display settings/advanced settings/color management).  when open new illustrator file , go create gray shape using 1 of default swatches in 'grays' swatch group ( c=0 m=0 y=0 k=70, example )  end brown .        i've selected color profile seems have come display manufacturer (asus_17440019) in illustrator's color settings window) , seems fix issue - grays gray again.  i'm confused when open document different color profile, greys brown again - when convert current proflie.  thing keeps grays gray if choose 'discard color embedded color profile (don't manage color)'.  should add said file in srgb iec61966-2.1 color profile , working profile mentioned asus_17440019.        how better

heya, im trying setup virtual lab virtualbox, using 2 ubuntu guests , 1 xp. each of guests attached virtualbox internal network. have 1 of ubuntu guests configured 2 network adapters, 1 adapter connected internal network , other connected nat. want network traffic pass through guest. have each guest configured static ip, gateway ip set nated guests internal network adapter ip. can internet on each guest, , can see traffic (using wireshark) going through nated ubuntu system. problem having cant seem ping or connect of services running on internal network. message 'connect: network unreachable', im guessing has routing table, empty, not sure how fix it. ive tried adding route using: "route add 169.254.236.0/24 gw 169.254.236.100" error message: "netmask 000000ff doesn't make sense host route" static ips set follows: auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 169.254.236.201 netmask 255.255.0.

i'm using ppro cc, sequence , footage 1080i 29.97.  when exporting quicktime h.264 file, select preset 1080i 29.97.  upon export of file, can re-import it, , ppro interprets correctly 1080i (upper field first).   but, mediainfo interprets progressive (under scantype).   i've searched these forums, , googled answer, can't find anything.   i don't know if it's bug in ppro (or ame), or in mediainfo.   i work tv station, , of our spots/shows go through flipfactory, believe scans files same way mediainfo does, , don't want issues.   any appreciated. if use microphone in flash on chromebook (latest v32 chrome) noise levels high. fix have go settings , change mic level dramataically reduce background noise level. e.g goto http://www.onlinemictest.com/ on chromebook , see high noise level - right-click flash - settings - adjust mic level - better! seems bug. don't have chromebook, but.... using chrome 32 desktop can't pepperflash recognize either of mics. since chromebooks use chrome os, expanded version of chrome browser, has pepperflash embedded google... if has bug, it's 50-50 chance it's google did it. in firefox, no background noise, then, 1 of mics in $80 webcam , other in $60 headset. lead me believe ahardware issue mic in chromebook. the mic settings should remain set them once do, shouldn't problem after you've adjusted it. hello everyone, couple days ago trying connect lenovo w520 tv using vga port.my laptop nvidia optimus laptop.at first,i though vga port being manipulated intel card.so,i went bios settings , changed display settings choosing nvidia optimus work , let laptop check if os compatible optimus technology or not. tried couple of times wasn't able see t.v. after changing bios settings again discrete graphics without letting laptop check if os compatible optimus technology,i tested under windows 7 , seems vga port being used nvidia graphics card , not intel card.i changed ubuntu , booted , managed connect laptop tv,but unfortunately after rebooted(only nvidia card) ubuntu didn't start @ all.by way changed intel's graphics card , ubuntu able boot again,but seems problem when chosen video card nvidia only.so ran ubuntu on recovery mode , chose of options there option repairs broken packages,the grub update,clean unnecessary packages,check files,etc..

hi all, i'm trying reinstall ubuntu 12.10 64-bit on vaio dual booting windows 7. first time tried reinstall (without wiping data), froze somewhere near end. computer still responsive, installation hanging. tried reinstalling few more times (once again without wiping), hang @ "saving installed packages..." finally, decided try once again, time erasing everything. got stuck @ "running post-installation trigger update-notifier-common." tried 1 more time , it's stuck @ same spot. i'm using ubuntu 12.10 live cd reinstallation, , have tried 2 different cd's. ever since trying wipe data , reinstalling, os has not booted. after first few attempts, still boot plagued problems update manager not working. have workaround this? it's pretty frustrating have laptop that's been attempting install operating system 3 days. you might need use boot option noacpi or nomodeset google

i upgrading gnome-ubuntu 12.04 12.10 , pop window came choice disable (if remember well) kdm daemon. instead of clicking continue, checked tick box , clicked continue. black screen tty1 login. logged in , said restart machine. restarted , tty1 login black screen , if i'm not lucky boot messages ending battery check ->ok , nothing. ctrl+alt+del works restart , see if tty1 appears next time. first time restarted machine, interrupted upgrade. how can resume upgrade? if cannot, how can resque data? shall try new intallation cd in new partition , try recover data afterwards? please help!! work , docs in there. p.s. when log in can see file system. robohelp 10 stops working every time when open checked in topic , make change forcing topic checked out automatically.  worked in previous versions of robohelp.  after restarting program, desired topic checked out. checking topics out manually before editing works without crash.   i have uninstalled source control , reinstalled no help.  did placing images stopped robohelp 10 working.  when placing image , click on browse folders worked ok.  when clicked on next folder resulted in lockup ... every time.  reinstalling source control fixed that.   automatic checkout of topics crashes every time.  have local copy of project , server accessed via vpn 3000 miles away.  have never had problem until robo10.  nothing has changed in our vpn or network since robo9 worked perfectly.  robohelp works fast @ first after few hours takes long time check out or check in topics.  faster close without checking in, reboot pc, , check in.  necessary couple times day.    i running dell laptop i7, win 7-64,
