here's setup: - brand new brother mfc-j280w - connected usb debian squeeze server running sane.d - 2 ubuntu laptops running 12.04 , 12.10 respectively systems setup scan on network using sane.d old scanner , worked without hitch. installed brscan , brscan-skey drivers on server , configured according brother's instructions. works: - scanner detected scanimage, sane-find-scanner, , xsane both on server , clients - can acquire images @ low (< 300 dpi ) resolution on server using xsane or scanimage - can acquire images @ *lower* resolutions (~100 dpi) on clients using scanimage doesn't work: - can't acquire images @ high resolution anywhere; on server "sane_read: error during device i/o" , scanner messed until reset. - can't acquire images xsane on network clients, "out of memory" errors, when resulting scan small (~10-30mb). - can't preview. on server takes forever (m

been using dreamweaver cc no probs few weeks strange reason developed weird fault when highlight code deletes code.   sometimes highlight code , press refresh , code disappears.   sometimes code dissapears when flick between programs.   i've noticed quite when click on code inspect in properties/designer window gets stuck , have click on designer window tease working.   its got buggy , i'm wondering if latest updates have messed up?   i googled subject , people have had similar issues , said turning of dictation should solve it, hasn’t me. its incredibly frustrating, i've lost lots of code don't notice you've accidentally deleted code.   any idea issue is?   i'm on 10.9.1, running latest cc updates. i assume you're on mavericks.  disable speech recognition software.       nancy o. hello,  happing on computer , not know how fix.  when run 1 of captvate projects in internet explorere 9,10 or 11 bottom , right side of frame cut off.  have shell set 1024x768 , set 800x600 , same thing happing.  ran course in chrome using html link in folder , ran fine.   have ie11 on test computer , working there too.  ideas or updates microsoft may have done missing or need change.   thanks,   marty k. windows not working on my daughters sony laptop computer model vpccw23fx . contemplating installing ubuntu on it. returning home next week college. in meantime, prepare ubuntu live-cd test out. question, there known compatibility issues concerning laptop ubuntu 12.10? good chance work fine because couple of years old - uses 1st generation intel i3 cpu. otherwise, you'll have see if atheros wireless card supported , works well. stick ubuntu 12.04 lts if possible, supported until 2017. 12.10 supported 18 months. if me, i'd re-install windows , install ubuntu dual boot. as love ubuntu, don't unleash on people aren't familiar it. @ least give choice of operating systems upon boot. i have used acrobat x pro many times create shared review without problems. yesterday went share few files review , kept getting error "could not save shared review enabled pdf file." googled problem , have tried suggestions find, none worked. deleted , recreated pdfs , got 3 of 4 documents send (i have absolutely no idea how) can't last 1 send. keep getting same error. tried deleting , re-installing acrobat. file not in same location server. difference other 3 documents content. generated same way (smartpdf in altium). appreciated. i trying install ubuntu on old computer, , having many problems. reasonably experienced os installation in general, , ubuntu in particular, having done such stuff on 10 years, first, ubuntu 12.04. while booting livecd, there (error) message stating (ibm system detected - correctly - and) unable load module because rewrite serial eeprom. booting continue, graphics chip (s3) not recognized, , boots in low res mode. not useful, because can't use installer screens , partitioner in mode. (perhaps 384m of memory not enough!) next, ubuntu 10.04. tried because still have livecd. boots perfectly, graphics, through desktop. can go through install steps till partitioning. have 2 hard drives in computer: drive 3 primary partitions (windows, ntfs data, , linux-swap), , drive b 1 extended partition containing 2 logical partitions (for /boot , /) , 2 primary partitions (both ntfs, data). partitioner sees first drive, drive (configured master drive). note
