hi, did lot of research resolve "wired network disconnected" issue couldn't find information writing in forum help. have installed ubuntu 12.10 , have 3 quad nic ethernet card + 1 ethernet port in motherboard, ethernet ports being detected ubuntu , if plug internet cable in port , can browse internet without issue , me understand quad nic cards fine since use port connect internet 1 one, if take cable cisco switch , inject in 1 of quad nic card port, ubuntu shows stauts connecting , shows "wired network disconnected" , keep happening time connecting , disconnected. on same port if inject internet cable works , shows "wired network connected" won't work when cable coming switch. read different threads , tried implement sort of solution won't help looking hope can put me in right direction. quad nic card specs after running lscp digital equipment corporation decchip 21142/43 (rev 41) regards,

i updated flash player 12 , runs when in "owner" account on computer. however, not run when in user account , not update directly user account (get "do not have sufficient privileges" message). there simple should know run in accounts? using windows vista/ie9. to update on (non-admin) user accounts, , if you're unable "run administrator" via right click, while in non-admin account, , enter proper credentials admin account... need (temporarily) change account administrator. i have set 2 forms , designated several users recieve email notificatiions including myself. the notifications come inbox fine other users not recieving notifications of submitted forms. in addition when add new email account recieve notificatioin , link log in there no way log in because don't have established password. if click on link re-establish password...they never/ever recieve email link reset password.   so in end none of email recipients recieving email notificatiions. addendum i have spam/email filters (postini). i have checked administrative settings, looked in quarantine , junk filters lists even added adobe.com , formscentral..... white lists nothing did has changed situation. hello all, have been having trouble 9500 gt card. have set in ubuntu 12.04 media centre, tv connected via hdmi. set-up working media server other systems in house, , such on 24/7. unfortunately, recent spait of power-cuts has caused system shut down abruptly, each time forgetting has hdmi-out port. i've tried using closed-source nvidia drivers (each of 4 has same issue, changing drivers brings hdmi, if last 1 failed.), open-source ones (which don't offer high enough resolution needs). tried installing driver downloaded directly nvidia (a .run file), installed correctly, had same issues. have possible cause issue, or better, potential solution? last time had power cut, took me 3 hours hdmi (using vga, works). it's annoying more anything. love ubuntu-based media centre, spoiling experience. many help, rob i suggest "version current" driver, have no insight whether solve probl

i running out of ideas here. run small home server using ubuntu , dnsmasq. worked fine until few days ago, when noticed unable ssh/ping other ubuntu machine on private lan. explain: all clients have correct static or dynamic address delivered using dhcp all dns requests resolved properly, returning ipv4 addresses expected all network clients able access internet all network clients able access server all non-ubuntu network clients can pinged, accessed using ssh/http , on (openwrt, debian) ubuntu clients cannot access other ubuntu clients exception of server example: server ip 192.168.1.1, client1 ip 192.168.1.2 (ubuntu), client2 ip 192.168.1.3 (ubuntu), client3 192.168.1.4(openwrt) on server, ping client1 works fine, ping client2 works fine on client1, ping 192.168.1.1 works fine, ping 192.168.1.3 ends "destination host unreachable" on client2, ping 192.168.1.2 ends "destination host unreachable" on client1, ping 192.168.1.4 works fine on

hi!   i'm working on site 95% complete. loading time site approx 7-10 seconds seems slow. have placed preloader doesn't seem coming while site loading.   is there anyway speed loading time. code tell load specific number of frames first , load rest in background?   i have compressed images being used cannot compress further may lose quality.     edit: i've got preloader working , seems showing while site loading. there way speed loading time.   message edited by: alexmathayes how did manage preloader work? having similar issue.   for loading time, should add total amount of data animation needs load before can kick off. .js files, , of image files associated. use "save web" function in photoshop , illustrator, , try make sure aren't bigger in resolution you'll need them when displaying on site.     More discussions in Edge Animate CC adobe

since have upgraded 10.04 12.04 have not been able run variety of remote x-applications satisfactorily. problems may due not having correct xfonts installed not sure how go doing that. downloading font managers etc. did not help. example sge ( sun grid engine ) qmon fails start , ansys selects font looks chinese writing. has else had similar problems , managed round them ? i have resolved these problems copying x11 fonts working installation ubuntu workstation under directory ; <home_directory>.fonts/fonts looks line fonts.cfg file in /etc/fonts pointing wrong directory <dir> entry reads; <dir>/usr/x11r6/lib/x11/fonts</dir> x11 software not installed under /usr/x11r6 . hi all, after couple of laptops using broadcom wifi picked out system without it. unfortunately, i'm in trouble again. it's not uncommon one, it's none of solutions i've seen far trick me. problem: wireless internet connection extremely slow (averages <50k); pages on forum don't load half of time. system: acer aspire s3 ultrabook, using ath9k driver. now, i've tried solutions find past few days (a lot of came wild man), none of them worked. i've tried turning of hardware encryption trick (options ath9k nohwcrypt=1), added 8.8.8.8 etc. dns entries , have compiled , installed compat-wireless (3.6 stable)... until now, speeds stay extremely low. symptoms slow overall speeds (<50k) , going down , again (stalling). moving closer ap seems short time, downloading speed drops again. speedtest.net shows same: speed starts out okay, keeps on dropping , dropping. below output of commands give insight in current situatio

i'm getting dreaded 'creative cloud server error' when trying sync mavericks mbp. have reinstalled creative cloud's app, deleted ' opm.db ', made sure file , folder names fit guidelines, yet error continues.  has worked fine since began using long time ago , i've not made changes laptop except adding couple of new files creative cloud folder.  hope temporary issue.  don't dragging , dropping creative cloud via browser window because of 'no folder' issue. bonjour,   mon site est actuellement en ligne : http://bit.ly/1imswj3   avec horreur, j'ai constaté que mon site est saccadé, pas fluide, sur chrome (dernière version) et ie 10 lorsqu'on scrolle. le site est tout à fait fluide sous firefox (dernière version). le pire résultat c'est quand même sous ie 10 !!!!   pourquoi ce problème de fluidité ? j'ai testé avec des sites basiques avec chrome et ie10, aucun soucis. autres tests avec des sites créés avec muse (adobe site of day) et là le problème se reproduit.   je sais que les navigateurs ont leur façon bien à eux de gérer l'affichage des sites, mais comme je le précise plus haut, j'ai testé différents sites non créés avec muse et il n'y aucun problème de fluidité avec ces 3 navigateurs.   bref, tout cela est décourageant. je me suis donné du mal pour concevoir ce site et je ne m'attendais pas à un problème de fluidité sur un simple site onepage.   auriez-vous une solution pour me venir en aide ?   merci d
