hi ve bought amd64 , came windows 8, therefor i´ve been trying these last days install ubuntu without success. downloaded wubi windows install , goes right untill gets boot ubuntu part. \ubuntu\winboot\wubildr.mbr missing or currupted (the file there idk whats causing this) installed wubi on diferent partition btw, hope 1 of u guys knows how run linux side side windows 8. ty. have tried going bios , disabling windows 8 secure boot option before booting disc ? windows 8 machines come enabled default. in seemingly random comps ae crash , it'll give me error telling me crashed invoking curves plugin.  i'm applying multiple adjustment layers different effects finesse, curves, unsharp mask, etc. when happens.  can bypass rendering out footage 1 of adjustment layers turned on re-importing that.  turning on adjustment layer, rendering out, re-importing, etc. until have of adjustment layers active.  footage avchd, crashes prores footage.   i'm on cs6 (fully updated) on macbook pro: i7 2.7ghz, 16gb ram, nvidia geforce gt 650m, ssd.   thoughts? why need use adjustment layers?  sounds fishy.    unless want apply effect visible layers below in comp, adjustment layer largely unnecessary: apply effects layer itself.   and don't need 1 effect per adjustment layer.  complicates things.    having made mistake of moving photo files 1 disk without lr , seen them go "missing" (correcting problem unnecessarily frustrating), decided follow approved process planned move 50k photos new nas drive.     doing inside lr5.     selected relevant folders (which bit tricky lr not responsive file management, on computer) , dragged , dropped onto network drive. voila! have 1100 "moving folder" operations in process. however, seems every folder move triggers error message "could not complete folder move. unknown error has occured.". after doing web research seems message generated if there non-image file in folder. acceptable except fact after few (4-10) have been accumulated process crawls halt. left running overnight , 30 folders moved. out of 1100!    can't believe others have not had move large volumes of pictures , not had problem. think common practice amongst lr's target user base.    why can't process streamlined? example, allow user ac

hi, i'm absolutely stumped , appreciate sort of troubleshoot this. i've got zotac ion mobo - has run mythbuntu time, 10.04 - 12.04. hasn't been without complications has been isolated av issues. couple of things have changed recently, big on being upgrading 12.10 (the other isp). since i've had issues local networking ubuntu/mythbuntu. it's super super slow - between 200 , 500 kb across lan (smb share) media pc connected tp link router via wired gb connection - i've not had issues with. pc connects via n wifi - doesn't seem have issues other connections eg. downloading on 1-2 mb/sec internet. zotac mobo nvidia ion (ionitx-f-e) - nic identified mcp79, , seems download quick internet (again, 1-2 mb/sec). there no errors in logs , other devices, same painfully slow speeds too. thought may os reinstalled 12.10 (64bit , 32bit) trying 11.10, , 12.04 32 bit, behaviour remains. don't remember ex

hi   we having issue cs4 , cs6 couple of users using windows 7 64bit. users using cs4 on windows xp 32 bit.   the program seems open ok , user able create, save , open new files, issue seems when users try open files created. behavior see files take between 5 , 10 mins open (even if stored locally) , programs hangs when try files.   the using same hardware, difference being os has been migrated windows 7 64 bit. cs4 , cs6 installed cleanly onto machines.the users have same issue both cs4 , cs6 existing files.   i have never used software before complete novice go easy questions.   just wondering if there obvious checked causing this?   many thanks i believe experiencing same issue, running cc versions of illustrator & indesign on win7 64bit.  did find answer one? greetings! long time photoshop user of 12 years, yet i've never used these forums.   so.   i run surface pro 2 wacom drivers, i've run same problem on hand built pc running windows 7 intuos 4 medium. i'm drawing, pen pressure disappear , reappear random strokes "blot" on screen... kind of ink blotting out of pen, entire force of pressure used whole stroke no matter how gently or firmly i'm pressing. work rapidly, , small, continuous, accurate strokes absolute must. problem can't duplicated on other program i've tried, paint tool sai or fresh paint - it's photoshop specific problem.   the problem seems worse on surface, i'm working more on surface, running issue more frequently. has been ongoing after many attempts @ fixing.   i've tried: reinstalling (4 times surface, 8 times pc on time) wiping entirely ccleaner , removal tool adobe provides , reinstalling each time above ^ wiping , reinstalling drivers trying different drivers waiting new

hi, in maverick meerkat (64 bit version) installed needed compiling both 32bit , 64bit targets. i'm there precise pangolin, there's place fails: "libxt-dev" , "libxt-dev:i386" packages incompatible, cannot install both @ same time. same happens "libxp-dev" , "libxp-dev:i386". these 2 libs cannot install 32bit + 64bit support. rest of libs needed worked fine (maybe there're more libs issue, don't affect me). there workaround this? how can proceed? tia after searching bit, didn't find talking issue, found seems possible install packages without uninstalling other packages wish uninstall (i've read accomplished "sudo apt-get download ..." , "sudo dpkg -i ..."). guess allow me have both "libxt-dev" , "libxt-dev:i386" installed (and "libxp-dev" , "libxp-dev:i386"). should

i installed xubuntu 10.04 lts in place of 12.04 formatting linux partition , selecting partition 12.04 in. (i had issues 3.2 kernel) has happened twice now, first time installed 10.04 again using same method (format, install). actual problem grub not appear load. no cli prompt, black screen , led on caps lock button flashes. until decided needed load windows, working fine. after load windows , shut down, no grub. holding shift after bios splash shows &quot;grub loading&quot;, black screen. distro-specific problem, or going have totally redo computer, or grub reinstall? if in bios press f11 &quot;system recovery&quot;, doesn't flash led , screen backlit, differences. bump also, reinstalling grub temporary fix. once boot windows again, problem recurs. i'm going try grub-legacy package , see if helps @ all... if cares read it, 'file' command on dump of mbr after boot windows. pa

ae cs6 on hp 820z, wn 7   this surprises me:   i moving ahead 1 frame , can see timeline first image below: layer "bonnie full field shot" above precomposed layer "bonnie 3d no lettering." in first image, cursor 1 frame before the last layer. , yet when move cursor 1 frame ahead, many frames of upper layer left go @ 100% opacity, might add, upper layer "bonnie full field shot" disappears if "under" lower one. there way can make upper layer maintain it's visual primacy until fade it?       now 1 more frame, though there still more of layer above it, upper 1 disappears.   . 3d layers operate based on ther 3d coordinates, not layer stacking order. if want layer appear behind another, have actualyl move behind.   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe

hello guys, windows 7 (64 bit) user , wanted try out ubuntu on laptop. downloaded ubuntu desktop 12.04lts (64 bit) on usb , and followed http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/...ick-on-windows create bootable usb stick. before starting install used windows 7 disk management shrink hard-disk(500gb) 400gb , left 100gb free. after booting usb stick chose side side install , finished intalling ubuntu. after restart unable see boot option on startup screen. tried pressing shift , esc windows 7 option shows up. tried running 'run ubuntu usb' , launched 'install ubuntu' option again gave me same results. guys me above problem? did try boot usb stick connected? when usb install bootloader ends usb mistake. hello   i'm having unique issue audio playback. video playback works fine, when ram preview or audio preview makes computer stall 10 - 20 secconds, plays. audio ether sped up, or slowed down (different each time). once happens once, can ram preview area again, , works perfectly, untill ether go track, composition, or program, @ point problems starts on again. have ideas?     i'm using mac tower 8-core 2008, put in intel ssd drive osx mavericks. in 14gb ram. the audio wave file.     thanks help! ian do have problem 1 wave file? if yes rerender file wav/mp3 , check works. ok, past 20 years have been storing photography in 3 places: my working files & folders on local drive - current projects. an archive of photography & cinematography files, imports , projects on windows server in huge drives. a copy of archive on multiple external usb drives (for off site keeping)   the problem of past 2 decades have changed way manage file folders , store  projects, these backups have been (for part) manual , know doesn't take long forget project or 2 , have huge fricken mess on hands.   i need things consolidated can raid installed , backup off usb drives , cloud.   so trying start 2 archives - there terabytes of data deal , manually going through each takes months if not longer. while part file names going same, newer others , defiantly in different file folder systems.   what best software out there consolidate these 1 system keeping newest file , deleting duplicates? i can export on media encoder , play on premiere @ same time if save project > close premiere pro > open media encoder > import premiere pro sequence > start export > , open project on premiere again. but i`m having issues playback quality (sometimes stop , audio starts getting out of sync), , export gets slow. is there can export , play @ same time?   i need full quality of preview.   working codecs xdcam hd 422 , prores 422 on mac os x 10.7.5 (2 x 2.66 ghz quad-core intel xeon) wiht 24gb 1066 ddr3 ram   hope u guys can help. you can queue export right pp, start encode , go pp continue working.  no need close anything.   doing slow down export process, pp steal whatever resources needs run, pausing ame so.
