i have moved , renamed folder in external hard drive using windows explorer. later realized lightroom upset action .... not recognizing photos content in folder. have tried following options still couldn't fix it.   option i: syncing moved folder in lightroom not working in bringing photos lightroom - although photos exist in folder have confirmed through windows explorer. after running 'synchronizing folder' option - lr says @ end 'no photos or videos found'   option ii: if choose "import photos folder" in lr , browse source folder - missing photos shown shaded , import button (bottom right corner) not highlighted. therefore cannot select these missing photos , hence cannot import them folder.   please advise! well, i'm glad have learned not rename or move folders using operating system.   the solution problem is, in lightroom, right-click on missing folder , select "find missing folder", point lightroom new folder location , name. hello everyone! i'm doing experiments run servers generally, services. need able connect internet "the pc" connected server can not. on server installed linux distribution called smoothwall. question is: how test see problem connection? in part of chain broken request network site? see if problem of ports or something? have verified computer able ping server , other verified server able ping internet (with ip of google) 1. make sure have forward policy accept on smoothwall (not sure if that's call policy). needs allow forwarding through it. 2. need enable ip_forward in /etc/sysctl.conf on server. don't know whether smoothwall that. until forwarding enabled server not forward packets between external , internal interface. ps. suggest use iptables directly, , not smoothwall. looks @ first glance, has limitations later, depending want it. iptables more flexible , easier set up, although m

ich betreue die edv einer arztpraxis. die patientenverwaltungssoftware (pvs) "medical office" kann auch pdf-dokumente verwalten und nach doppelklick in der krankenakte auf das pdf-dokument im acroreader xi anzeigen. das funktioniert auf dem pvs- server , der als " normaler windowsuser " läuft, problemlos. aber auf sämtlichen pvs- clients , die aus bestimmten gründen " als administrator " laufen müssen, ist das öffnen von pdf-dateien nicht möglich. der windows-taskmanager (siehe screenshot) zeigt nach jedem doppelklick auf eine pdf-datei in der krankenakte zwei gestartete acroreader als hintergrundprozess , aber auf dem monitor erscheint er nicht.   wenn ich die pvs-clients als "normale windowsuser" arbeiten lasse, funktioniert auch der acroreader richtig. leider ist das nicht möglich, weil dann der essenzielle db-replikationsprozess nicht mehr arbeitet. wichtig: diese beobachtung mache ich auf windows 8 und windows 8.1-pcs . unter windows 7 tritt

i have shape #ffffff #f6f6f6 gradient overlay applied. looks fine in ps when printed on laser printers @ kinko's becomes horribly banded. strangely, when printed on inexpensive ink jet looks normal.   i need fix before sending file off print. don't use ps brochures , such (usually ai) i'm not sure expect give entire shape color overlay or go nothing @ all, shame. gradient in photoshop have problem this. use dodge toll instead. can acheive same more clearity. i have aa 5.5 , behringer usb mixer. installed behringer "highspeed asio sudio mixer" software. allows me select my  "system performance" corresponding latency (normal, rapid, highspeed, etc). i'm finding latency can go low 16ms... thing is, cpu intel i7 3.4 ghz 12 gb of  ram. crazy think should able down @ least "rapid (7)? preferably "highspeed (5). audition doesn't have impact on latency if you're trying monitor using round trip via computer--and 16ms pretty result if you're working way.  biggest issue size of buffers being used asio driver , buffer size, in turn determined overall performance of system.   depending on behringer mixer have, better way of working might use aux or effects send provide monitoring, avoiding round trip via computer.  it'll depend on model have whether possible--but form of "direct hardware" monitoring better trying go via computer. did photo shoot yesterday , wanted use website.  subscribed musecc.   opened muse, clicked on home page, place rectangle container image.  container placed between header , footer.  did image fill rectangle , set fill frame proportionately, , set pin centre hole of image container.    i went preview page, image fitted part of page, , not go down header.   when didnt work, deleted image , container, , tried place image , adjust size of image fit between header , footer, still no luck,    so made web element size of rectangle 270px wide , hieght of 413px. in photoshop, still no luck.   the image centred on page.    page properties default pages centre horizontally unchecked.   the things have tried placing rectangle contain , doing fill image container. place image on page , resize fit between header , footer. created image web element in photoshopcc , placed on page   and neither of these worked.  design mode shows image between header , footer  in browser centre doesnt not go way down

i have corrected saturation on photo in develop module , copy saturation other photos. click 'copy' in lower left , dialog select choice of settings, check saturation. move desired recipient image , click 'paste' , nothing happens. same result in library module when use photo > develop settings > copy settings , paste settings. nada!!   i using lr 5.3 on windows pro 7 i copy settings using sync button. highlight photos want synchronize saturation, make sure saturation item selected. make sure photo has correct saturation has focus , click on sync. i wanted try transferring files between 2 linux computers using usb bridging cable. first computer desktop running ubuntu 12.04 , second computer laptop running lubuntu 12.10. i'm using belkin f5u279 usb cable. when connect computer can see interface created called usb0 on both computers. followed instructions posted on site . typed sudo ifconfig usb0 192.168.1.1 first computer , typed sudo ifconfig usb0 192.168.1.2 on laptop. however, never able make connection. both computers continually tried make connections failed , generated notification said "wired network disconnected". ideas should try next? thanks. appreciative of takes time respond requests help; ask keep replies thread on topic of how connect 2 computers using usb bridging cable. i'm interested in. know easiest way transfer files between computers use crossover cable or connect both computers router , use ftp/samba or other of myriad of transfer options i'm aware of.

hi,  great update illustrator in 17.1.0, hidpi support windows 7 , 8 of super high resolution monitors.  have 1 issue though, on 15" 3200x1800 laptop screen running @ either 150% or 200% scaling document rulers don't scale @ , remain very, very, small, unreadable in fact. issue know about? , can expect fix in next release? hi middlep1,   currently ruler not scale @ 150% scaling should scale @ 200%.   can please share screen @ 200% scaling can @ issue.   sanjay. i'm aware likley vlc problem , head on there too, has experienced this.   my project has 1 english subtitle track each timeline.  timelines have 20 second intro piece no subtitling , when dialogue kicks in subtitling.  i've built dvd folder , burnt disc nero.  when played in vlc 2 subtitle options on vlc menu track 1 english , track 2 when subtitles kick in 3 additional track 3.    to view subtitles: selecting track 1 english nothing, track 2 turns on subtitles , track 3   curious??   anyone i did qick test dvd test subtitle project built folder. project has 1 subtitle track. works correctly in total media theater 5 , 6. not work correcty in vlc 2.1.2.   in vlc, shows 3 subtitle tracks, first called english (which correct). track not play subtitles. tracks 2 , 3 both play subtitles.   i using regular menu tools; not see remote control simulator test subtitles in vlc. there one?   there many options n vlc preferences, none think should make difference in number of subtitle tra

hi everyone. the problem have started 2 month long project (very short!) aim simulate displacement of 3d body subjected external forces (structural mechanics type of problem). body's geometry in kind of structured sense i.e. .msh or .obj file. need is 1) graphically visualize (in 3d) body importing geometrical data (points) external file 2) animate body subjected forces there mass-spring model "connect" body , provide realistic motion. languages have in mind c/c++, java or matlab (i have experience all). questions 1) time limit (2 months) in mind, language feel suit problem? 2) have though java , maybe writing simple wrapper e.g. jogl, experience jogl realistic? not looking definite answer, discussion, comment, question equally welcome! thank in advance! given tight timescale have think best in matlab. have necessary matrix multiplication , maths functions built in

first shoot using live logger - working until need bring data prelude.  log cc account, see files uploaded ipad , click on download.  then...nothing shows in unassociated metadata panel.  running v 2.2.0 on osx 10.9.  i'm following along video tutorial on adobe site , don't think i'm doing wrong.   anyone have idea?    i think can workflow live logger (i have lots of suggestions app, know in infancy) i'm blocked on first try make work in prelude. only way around me go cc website, download xmp files, change extension .txt .xmp, import them unassociated metadata panel "import local" button.  works, long way around.  still not sure why direct download feature isn't letting files show in panel. i'm running arch xfce on netbook addition gb ram. absolutely flies , see no point upgrading time soon. wouldn't hard works oem make system , clone it. part of me thinks don't because cut profits significantly. first woudn't sell many higher end machines , secondly people upgrade often. crazy thinking it's in oems best interest keep computers getting slower , slower on current hardware? no - you're not crazy! i'm sure windows software has been designed slow in time (pagefile/registry bloat, disk fragmentation, heavy applications, etc.). there trend more , more graphical capability, big area of software progression - needing more hardware. use ubuntu on old machines - current laptop 4 years old , still runs quick. i've got servers ten years old too. why change?! i have noticed when exporting frame cs3 or cs5 , concerting jpeg or tiff etc when printing photo image distorted.   all frames seem stretched upwards people elongated.   does know how work round or correct image looks correct.   in plain english 1 needs reduce height of frame whilst keeping width unchanged. what media properties, sequence settings, and export settings?   this sounds pixel aspect ratio mismatch error. i used work on corel x6 , trying switch illus. i find tasks heavy , not practical. maybe don't know how i used export in corel x6 window gives me option resize during export process, besides fact export selected objects only. in illustrator, have resize physicaly object, create differnt arboard , isolate on artboard in order use "use artboard" option in export window. could me way more practical?? select object --> artboard tool --> "create artboard object/ resize artboart object" (in top bar tool) --> export active artboard. @ least simplifies tasks. otehrwise still have explizitly visibility of objects/ layers, if follow specific naming conventions might possible create script toggles visibility based on that. make freinds selecting items similar criteria fill color or stroke , use show/ hide options menu. may not work, can handy when have lots of objects , want pick out 1 different rest.   mylenium More discussions in Illustrator adobe
