i used able make link on usb stick , move ubuntu 12.04 desktop. formatted stick in windows xp, used fat32 , re-installed files onto stick. when booted ubuntu not make links on stick. went win xp, formatted (fat) , still same error when try make link (for .txt doc) on usb stick : error while creating link doc.txt target doesn't support symbolic links you cannot create symbolic links on fat filesystems, , don't think can on ntfs either. *nix filesystems support symbolic links - ext*, xfs, jfs, btrfs etc. in general, windows can't read *nix filesystems, not because they're secret because ms doesn't interoperability. hi all. installed ubuntu (12) onto compaq 610 laptop (about 3 weeks ago), installed dual boot vista. until now, has been perfect. on installation ubuntu picked wireless router , on putting pass-code in, authorized no problem. yesterday, had power outages in area, switched off laptop , router day. when re-booted last night, ubuntu picked wireless network, kept asking pass-code on , on again without connecting. when re-boot windows, there's no problem, connect no issues can't see being router or wireless. must software issue. did forum search , followed advice could, steps followed... 1) disable wireless , re-enable: had no effect. 2) disable wireless, re-boot enable: had no effect 3) run "sudo restart network-manager": no effect try? if dial on demand connection created network manager, can try create new connection giving credentials.

very strange issue. have had happen twice 2 different projects.   i have timeline setup 1080 using raw mov files canon 60d. looks good. render media , output file, 1 of clips looks running @ extremely low frame rate. maybe 1 frame second almost. not in premiere. , why think might premiere , not ame....   i found file got clip form , selected new segment of video use clip. inserted timeline before 1 giving frame rate issue. removed clip had bad frame rate issue (again, after rendered in ame can see in rendered file..it doesn't ths within premiere playing timeline). rendered project again. time, clip replaced looks fine, 1 right after has same frame drop problem. have no idea causing this. neither of clips have time ramping. neither in premiere when play timeline. shows in final file render, moves down timeline next clip when fix 1 did it.   any ideas on causing this? else ever see this?   thanks. adobe community: faq: information should provide when asking question on forum?   jef

i stumped. have noticed when display videos (any) lr catalog via lr5 on right monitor (i have 2 acer v243's) display in green. whereas other color effects fine. left monitor ok. have intel 7 quad core / 16 gb ram / invidia gtx 560ti (old , new driver both show same effect). each monitor plugged dvi. have colormunki display calibrate displays, no issues. can videos play in lr5 few minutes in full color on right monitor before go green on me. tried sorts of videos (mp4, mpg etc). photos fine. videos played on vlc playback fine on both monitors @ times. has seen this? seems software thing affecting lr5 videos only.   any ideas welcomed thanks.   left monitor: right monitor: More discussions in Lightroom Classic CC adobe
