my story: had trouble computer - name pc "a". bought new pc "b" - image of harddrive pc "a" installed in pc "b". after 4 weeks: trouble pc "b". gave pc "b" dealer , took harddrive home , installed in older pc "c" because work had go on. one week later: dealer gave "repaired" pc "b" back. i installed harddrive "c" pc "b". again trouble pc "b". went 1 6 times. unnerved bought new pc "d" , installed harddrive pc "b" new pc "d". this combination works - cannot start acrobat  anymore.   acrobat tells me have installed on 2 computers , have "deactivate" it.   but have only  o n e   installation on   o n e  , same harddrive , cannot deactivate anything because installation on 2 computers not exist.   what can do?   thanks help. licensing wonderful thing.  when change hardware requires activation again.  @ point activated second time

hello,   i not sure if post belongs here or in acrobat. noticed if print pdf illustrator, characters ligatures behave strangely. although looks fine on pdf, if select text ligatures , paste word processor document, pasted text incorrect. example, "off" becomes "offff". if go illustrator , remove ligature characters in "off", copy , paste resulting text in pdf, yields expected result in word processor document: "off". is known issue? there threads discussing ligatures , exporting indesign pdf. not exporting printing pdf illustrator. copy , paste pdf has never been idea. pdfs not meant editing.   the export module in acrobat (pro) has been improved on last versions. might give try. hey everyone. i've been running samba server/domain controller on ubuntu years now, , after 12.10 upgrade last week, i've been running issues. have many shares on server, , problem occurs in of them. lets create empty word document , not modify @ all, fine delete it. if editing document, when save it, saves files "df4f6h.tmp" along it. these tmp files cannot deleted (even when authenicated root). can deleted terminal on samba server. every additional modification gets new .tmp file added. if delete actual word doc windows, appear deleted, when refresh window, pop up, , "access denied" when try open it. applies notpad files , everything. options have samba shares are... hi all,   i hope has explanation , fix following issue have: moved our file service hosted server, centos server running samba/cifs share our windows 7 pro, acrobat pro x , xi clients. there certificate based openvpn client running on workstations , share mapped network drive. moved work files (mostly pdfs) new server , problem when users open pdfs seem "streaming" , not loading - meaning every time users start scrolling through document, painstakingly slow. takes second or 2 program react mouse scroll (or same thing when searching) , if scroll stops , waits 5 seconds or more. seems acrobat not loading whole file when opened, rather loads piece-by-piece , very slowly. pdf sizes range under 1mb 60mb... avergage around 7mb. same thing happens xi reader , tried older copy of 8.0 pro. internet connection, may suspect problem, fast dedicated line. and gets tricky tested same thing pdf program , faster. there has kind of setting in acrobat make quick well. or if server feature need

helo, yesterday i've deleted few library (lexer, parser /.ml/.mli/.cmi,..) files in /usr/lib/ocaml/stdlib mistake, couldn't use them in ocaml. when figured out i've decided switch default package 3.12 4.0. uninstalled ocaml apt-get (unfortunately, later, wrote rm * in /usr/lib/ocaml), downloaded sources 4.0 compiled , installed new one. one things these forums allow detailed discussions of say, how x task in y software.   but ... whole "suite" of video programs designed over-arching process, , can't find anywhere main process being discussed. bits , pieces of how use each separately, or perhaps 1 program another's tool-set & easiest , quickest.   where 1 go improve one's use of suite as suite? going story prelude ppro ae ppro sg ppro audition ppro & off ame?   neil you have own investigation , searches , learning curve... there no such thing , never has been.   the reasons many... , variable...   platforms versions source materials deliveries   the best thing might myself have been focusing on..
