i installed ubuntu 12.10 today on asus g73sw-a1. graphics card in nvidia geforce gtx 460m, downloaded linux drivers , installed them. before installed them, default video driver let me view screen in 1920 x 1080 resolution, after i'm stuck 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600. can't see side bar, or top bar now. when package installing said disabling nouveau in order continue , gave me errors kdms or something. i'm not sure fix this, has me annoyed because can't believe break on me considering i've been windows user years , i've never had happen couldn't fix easily. did check "additional drivers" in "settings" menu? or did install manually? i running windows pro 7 (64-bit) , msie 9.   for unknown reason, flash player quit working. no big deal, went adobe's download page , first obtained uninstall executable. used rid machine of it's original adobe flash player.   next, went download latest version (and have done 7 or 8 times now). have tried 2 methods.   one, installing onsite (the app reaches 7% , stops).   secondly, download installer machine , double-click it. same thing, installer stops @ 7% , it's done.   i have researched problem since yesterday, trying solve it, no avail. have turned off anti-virus, anti-malware, i've turned off except computer nother works. have switched between activex filtering , again, yet same results.   i cannot past 7% download of flash player site.   can recommend third party exe may work without having download adobe's exe?   thank you. download adobe flash player offline installer directly clicking 1 of following links. flash player activex (internet explorer) flash

after testing ubuntu 12.04 , gnome 3 shell 2 weeks on usb key, i've been pleased both , decided install ubuntu on vista hard drive. used perfectdisk defrag, prep, , edit partitions. after few initial problems, vista working fine in new configuration several days. i've had few major issues since installing ubuntu. fyi, set 3 accounts: untouched unity, tweaked unity, , gnome 3 shell. after installing ubuntu, vista fail boot grub, , boot "last known configuration" option in windows recovery menu. decided wasn't acceptable trade-off , repaired mbr. installed easybcd, boots vista, main ubuntu account gnome 3 shell not open, throwing "failed load session gnome" error. other accounts still work, screen stretched, , monitor's resolution isn't shown in display settings. tried repair procedures terminal lost access account entirely. know should have backed files , can't figure out how access them. @ point feel exhausted , d

greetings we upgraded @ our small tv studio cc.    we opening old ae cs6 project in cc, converts project cc , resave it.   we having huge issue entire ae program becomes laggy user input.  (click layer, takes 3-4 seconds selected. type characters, 3-4 seconds update,  click menu, takes 3-4 seconds open, etc etc)  user input takes long time work in program, unusable.   here figured out far: -i still have cs6 installed on mac , when open project in cs6 works beautifully. -when open project in cc not connect network (and therefore have missing footage), works perfect far user interaction. -once relink footage, ae cc becomes laggy , unusable.   so seems evidence has changed cs6 cc, , whatever reason cc slow on network footage , each user interaction causes large wait in program response.  moving footage locally computer fixes problem, cannot work way have tb's of footage on network shared.   we have not encountered in premiere cc, or audition, seems limited aecc. ae has latest cc updat

ok. have been banging head against wall on week trying 3 monitors work. have: 1 - nvidia 8600 gt 512mb pciex16 1 - nvidia gt 240 1gb pciex16 not running in sli (obviously). have tried use tutorials few templates, way nvidia-settings, etc etc etc.. hear, xinerama doesnt gnome 3 because of compositing, although have read lot using xrandr instead, , getting compositing working, alas, cannot. either crashes x , have replace xorg.conf backup, or defaults gnome-classic desktop, , on top of that, when default, keeps adding more , more panels. basically, want able use 3 monitors (yes, in windows) drag , drop different windows. have xorg-edit, still not sure on how set up? there way to: a> compositing working 3 monitors, 2 nvidia cards, xinerama, , gnome 3? or b>use twinview 3 monitors (i have heard can done manually editing xorg.conf) or c>set xrandr draw 3 monitors compositing. or d>use separate x each monitor

why did  document fail download pdf website [ removed ] ?   it's on bottom of the website @ [ removed ] " download the digital version here ' the link not valid. there 404 error, meaning "document not found". either document not think is, or typed url wrong. nothing pdf.   i imagine links removed post, seen advertising. i trying send files phone(lg 420g) computer (ubuntu 12.10). when try send file phone, nothing happens on computer , phone displays "disconnected". when try browse files bluetooth settings, connection slider moves on. however, nautilus open , close quickly, , slider change off. if not happen, can start nautilus , see lg-420g under network, when click it, nautilus closes , connection changes off. if try manually connect phone, see message "fail connect ubuntu-0. retry?" , slider (in ubuntu bluetooth settings) moves on, off quickly. paired devices without problem, , have no problem sending files phone, other way around have trouble. bluetooth adapter kinivo btd-300 reference. there configuration setting might need tweak. or need install additional packages? can appreciated. edit: found workaround using laptop lubuntu 12.04. found if try send files laptop computer, error ¨service not supported remote device".
