i completed first video filter cuda accelerated using premiere pro sdk cs6 , cc7.  if suitable cuda hardware available, use it, if not uses multithreaded software implementation.  both work extremely well.  however, cuda implementation lot faster if source , destination memory buffers "pinned" memory.  since not, must copy source , destination memory pinned buffer, , asynchronously copy cuda device memory , back.  overhead copy source/destination memory pinned memory significant.  without copy pinned memory cuda on laptop fast enought process 130 fps 1920 1080 hd video.  pinned memory 45 fps.   if exact same filter in directshow, source , destination buffer pools pinned , filter runs faster on premiere pro.  noticed new gpu filter example uses , ae interface, allow access pinned memory.  however, have not mastered ae interface, , reluctant giving 13 years of learning curve on premiere sdk.   is there reason why source , destination buffer pool in premiere pro sdk not pinned m

hi everyone, while using computer playing videogames , randomly shut off. not knowing why shut off turned on , worked great. on time problem became worse , worse, playing videogames, shut off. after happening handful of times, found out computer overheating , shutting off because of heat. last week went turn computer on, after being off night, , when hit power button there nothing, no fans spinning, no noises, nothing. hit few more times , nothing happened. after sitting , not touching computer 5 minutes, randomly turned on self, booted , ran normal. today went turn computer on, , when pushed button nothing happened, no fans no noises nothing. after checking connections inside case , re-seating cards tried again. nothing. thinking might psu, plugged in backup psu (known working) , hit power button , no power. removed of cards (graphics cards, ram, hd's, cmos battery) , tried hitting power button agan, still no power, no fans spinning, no noises nothi

hi guys i'm running win7 64bit on dell precision 6700 laptop. little while before christmas attempts update started fail , got error " error code u44m1p7 " both cc , cs6. after digging seems may related running ccleaner, may have deleted language files (although runs fine cc on other machine!) i'm in quandry on next best thing do.   i had problem original cc installation set using north america english language instead of international english (i'm in england), have cs6. think may time uninstall , reinstall don't have keep flipping between two. having said i'm worried bits may left in registry , stop me reinstalling (as happened when ran cs4 , had reinstall windows around problem). case of going control panel , ininstalling each individual cc programme or there other steps should follow? ideas on best way uninstall cs6 part of process? there order should follow (i.e. cs6 first, cc)?   alternatively think have image restore point before running ccleaner i&#

lately seem having issue making end of slide match end of last object on slide. can see in attached image, longest item on timeline mouse click. hi i having problems getting final prints match screen view.  have had problem:  have image sized 5x7.  have on 5x7 template in print module of lightroom.  image dimensions in lightroom 5x7.  print on 5x7 paper (i measured sure).  on screen perfect, match the templates , measure out fime onscreen rulers.  without fail portion of print cut off on final print.  long side of print effected.  not limited 5x7's, happens across board.  common problem or doing wrong?  in 5x7 example above print comes out 5.2 x 7.3 give or take.  using lightroom 5.3 on imac running os 10.9.1.  printer canon pro 100.    i welcome this. thank you joe i have same printer, haven't experienced problem. besides setting lightroom print module properly, going printer driver , setting paper size , other options appropriately there? running 64-bit ubuntu on dell inspiron 1545. 12.04 had solved multi-monitor problems... working wonderfully until time in last couple weeks. now, since update or other, have following problem: if have external monitor plugged in, close laptop lid, , move mouse, find myself using external display -- want. if tell laptop hibernate, when tell laptop resume nothing happens. blank screen. can use ctrl-alt-f1 switch virtual terminal, ctrl-alt-f7 switch x display, , see lock screen... when type password, windows on desktop undecorated, , there no unity. can switch vt1 , log in , try run unity, doesn't work. wind needing reboot. else have problem, , there workaround?
