Thread: organizing my system


here screenshot of lubuntu 12.04 desktop. notice added panel bottom apps use every day. find looks kind of junky , better way present icons. need add folders access well.

recommend low resource solution? know docky , cairo-dock seems need composting work , require valuable resources. trying keep simple possible because machine running on isn't fastest, if know mean.

it's dell 3000 desktop. intel celeron 2.66ghz. 2gb ram.

aside using puppy linux, looking alternate os can approach speed of puppy linux. far lubuntu seems closest yet. ny other ideas snappy distro fit nicely computer, please let me know.

i tempted add expanded separator @ ends position icons in center, auto hide bar , set it's not 100% wide. way you'll more closely resembles cairo dock.
