Thread: 12.04 - Everything breaks after software updates

this has happened on 2 separate computers me. starting fresh install of 12.04, let system update. when restart, graphics driver seems have broken (800x600 resolution, unity 2d), cannot type keyboard anymore, mouse pointer blinks in , out of existence, when open terminal acts if i'm holding down enter key on it, , when click in notification area mouse automatically clicks first menu item hover over. it's absolutely bizarre, , again, has happened on 2 different computers, identical issues. have third computer wants update i'm afraid because don't want break it!

i've googled around problems i'm having, seems unheard of. these both new, fresh installs, , nothing funky done them; things still default. have clue what's going on here?

edit: alright... third ubuntu install acting in different way. installed google chrome , of sudden system slows crawl, , window buttons moved right side?? system seems speed after 30 seconds or so... if close window/program, slows down again. going on?? different computers, issues can't find reference anywhere else on internet. i've been ubuntu since started using gnu/linux i'm starting think should move on more stable.

should add on first machine, have windows 7 , mac os x lion installed , have had no issues them. ubuntu 12.04.

my experience different.

upgraded 12.04 10.04 1 month ago, , updates had being installed, system works better , better (quicker, , more responsive).

have consulted if hardware compatible 12.04 ubuntu release?, have installed privative drivers?, graphics card have , specs of hardware?.

don't add hardware information impossible give advice problem.
