Artifacts in Captured Vid - PPro CC

hello,

i searched forums couldn't find described exact problem.  if i'm repeating discussion, apologies.

the problem:  red , green artifacts appear in captured footage, both preview , final export.  artifacts not appear on tape - @ least not can detect naked eye.  many times artifacts display bits of footage captured entirely different tape, though in shot below it's green gunk on clip.  appears full solid red frame.  these glitches last anywhere 1 5 frames.

things i've tried:  i've cleared cache, i've started entirely new projects , meticuilous unique naming of each clip, separating unique folders.  i've tried various frame rates , resolutions.  have tried blacking tapes before shoot prevent tc breaks.  i've tried capturing in imovie , it, too, seems detect anomoly in clips, though imovie merely breaks clilp in 2 @ points instead of capturing mess.  i've tried closing other programs during capture.  none of has helped problem.

the specs:  shoot 2 , capture 1 (always same one) canon xh a1 using panasonic hdv/dv professional grade tapes.  shoot 1080 60i, though included picture above tried shooting in hdv 24f.  computer latest (as of post) imac, os x 10.9, 3.4 ghz i5, 16gb ram.  not use external storage - though plan - on mac hd has 2.19 tb available.  not ideal, know.  editing in premiere pro cc current updates.  capture through firewire (4 pin 9 pin) thunderbolt adapter (9 pin thunderbolt).  because i'm filming live music, capture tapes in 1 clip , manually sync each angle on timeline.  haven't tried log , capture individual songs yet.  use gopros around stage inserts, well, , clips gopro not have artifacts.

note:  guy filling in videographer before hired had no problems using these same cameras.  capturing computer straight firewire, before "the future" arrived , thunderbolt took over.  said never had problem capturing tape.  not sure software using, though...possibly imovie.

my suspicion link made firewire thunderbolt adapter causing kind of funk, i'm not - nor know how fix it.  far i've been able edit around these twitches, know that's not great way make editing decisions , i'd have resolved.

that's info know provide.  please help!  , in advance!

have tried blacking tapes before shoot prevent tc breaks.

don't ever reuse tape.  don't eject camera or go playback mode until you're done recording on it.  these simple tips eliminate a lot of issues.

capture through firewire (4 pin 9 pin) thunderbolt adapter (9 pin thunderbolt).

try using real firewire port on computer.  may have use computer or pick firewire add-in card.
