Thread: Compile SciTE on a linux machine


hello everyone,

running on machine not own, scientific linux, cant make alterations on /usr etc directories. /user/me/ can used.

have problem, cant run binaries of scite due older versions of files installed. plus binaries 32 while 64bit.

have compile scite using "make" , "make install" cant..
there option @ instructions install folder of choice:
"if gnome not installed
/usr/bin used prefix. prefix can overridden on command
line "make prefix=/opt" same value should used both make
, make install location compiled executable "

can please me command have write? install
/user/me/programs/ ?

thank

is scientific linux having muktiarch support ? if not need 64 binary
