Thread: No Sound 12.04

hi, ive tried irc, google, searching fourms, etc. , nothing seams working me. im getting pretty frustrated last resort before pass out on keyboard .

anyway, dont have sound on new ubuntu minimal installation, have alsa , pulseaudio installed (and belive correctly, have unmuted channels , sees , recognizes sound card) dont have sound. greatly apreciated, here info think may help.

you should not need use sudo aplay -l...this 1 problem.

shouldn't noah member of users (&video) ?

have compiled alsa source ?

try changing permissions of /proc/asound/card0/* ...but not survive reboot/restart.
