Thread: Netgear 3100 Nightmare


hello fellas.

forewarning, novice linux. exited getting ubuntu.

ran misfortune owning 1 of few netgear adapters not supported linux. not have ethernet option, source of internet through adapter.

running ubuntu 12.04, 64 bit.

installed terminal-based ndiswrapper came ubuntu live cd. after read chilli555's posts 64bit version of bcmnxx64.

however, stuck not know how proceed, , not see wireless options connections @ all!

ok, after headache, solved problem. in-case else has problem, did following :

had uninstall 32 bit driver, , ran following commands...

sudo depmod -a
sudo modprobe ndiswrapper
dmesg | grep ndis
iwconfig
