i've written shell script looking way use ndiswrapper running xubuntu 12.04 live-cd.

note: script has been tailored using wna3100 netgear wireless card , have modified other wireless cards (see bottom of post further instructions on matter).

steps:
1. download “ndiswrapper_xubuntu_wna3100.tar.gz” here:
https://sites.google.com/site/schulw...wna3100.tar.gz
(md5sum = f5ac854cad6aa5e93eb1bf3236197030)
2. right click -> extract here
3. cd directory “ndiswrapper_xubuntu_wna3100”
4. give execute permissions typing "chmod a+x install.sh"
5. run script typing "./install.sh"
6. once script finishes, click wireless icon in upper left hand corner, wna3100 should working!

if script doesn’t work, verify have wna3100 netgear wireless card typing: ‘lsusb’. should see line similar this:
code:
“bus 002 device 003: id 0846:9020 netgear, inc. wna3100(v1) wireless-n 300 [broadcom bcm43231]”
if not see line, have different wireless card. follow these steps:
1. find appropriate windows .inf driver file , place in directory on xubuntu system.
2. open “install.sh” , modify line reads “sudo ndiswrapper -i netgear/bcmwlhigh5.inf” , change “netgear/bcmwlhigh5.inf” path points windows .inf driver file.
3. save install.sh
4. run steps 4-6 listed above.
