Saving a PNG for BOTH screen and print

i have client requesting "image" saved png @ "715px x 915px @ 72 dpi", , have print text crisp , clear. have tried convince them use pdf instead ensure print quality want reject idea. need solution works, , having major problems this.

1. requesting 72 dpi not ppi. there difference, 1 screen 1 print. cant have both in opinion. have been using ppi, since setting illustrator , photoshop allows.

2. should not save print @ 72 ppi. not produce best quality image regardless.

3. have attempted several different ways save this.

- have saved in illustrator png , mulitple resolutions.

- have used illustrator png , put in photoshop , re saved it, after re sizing it. dimensions in illustrator never seem stay accurate.

- have attempted save pdf , convert png acrobat.

none of these work. there no issue getting nice on screen, printing part having issue with. when save @ higher 72 increases dimensions. if create @ higher 72, dimensions increase well. have not been able keep @ 715px x 915 px , have print clearly. come , tell me need decrease size, or text blurry.

how png 715px 915px @ 72 ppi (or dpi) resolution on screen, and print clear crisp text? there has solution missing.

this , on going issue until find solution. request file set do. please help!

thanks!

there has solution missing.

there none. client being ignorant bonehead. sorry, complete oximoron in being totally diametrical,  contradictory requirements. , doesn't stop there. how think retain proper print colors in rgb format without color management? again, client being stick in mud , doesn't understand of on basic level. if can't educate them, write invoice , move on. these kinds of clients pain in rear , usualyl not worth holding on to.
