Thread: 12.10 Autologin Problem


hello everyone,

updated laptop ubuntu 12.10 , decided put autologin on, keeps on asking login after suspended.

went
system settings > user accounts > automatic login > on
that first thing tried.

second going ".conf" file:
sudo gedit /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
and put in this:

autologin-user=username
autologin-user-timeout 0
this posted there (because of first thing tried, because didn't work retyped it, , saved file.

still did/does not work, , looking way fix this.

i'm able change it:

system settings > screen & lock > ask login after suspend > on or off

not using unity pretty autologin settings don't cover waking suspension. work regular start/restart of computer.
better @ power settings instead of messing around lightdm.
