Thread: 12.04 - Multiple wireless authentication windows

i'm running ubuntu 12.04 main os on desktop built. it's set lock screen after 10 min. or of inactivity. when wake , log in, wireless has disconnected , prompting me wireless password, though it's set save password , connect automatically.

issue 1: when this, cannot reconnect wireless network unless either disable , reenable wireless, or restart machine. password correct, still attempt connect 30 s minute , fail every time. not big of deal; wireless on mac freaks out same way sometimes, too, , reset , move on. there's issue 2.

issue 2: leave machine running hours between log ins. during period of time, seems trying reconnect wireless network on own, on , on again. i've logged in , had thirty or more wireless authentication windows sitting in middle of screen waiting canceled or closed. last time, i'd gone day without logging in, , there many wireless authentication windows open network manager had apparently stalled - couldn't close of windows, cancel, or press connect. had restart rid of them.

question 1: there simple solution wireless authentication failure thing, or should keep turning wireless off , on when happens?

question 2: there way network manager wait user input before opening dialog box attempting connect same wireless network?

question 3: if answer question 2 "no", there quick way (cli or otherwise) shut down multiple dialog boxes @ once? tried right clicking , shutting down program launcher last time, didn't work.

have enough of understanding of command line interface myself serious trouble trying follow directions find online, appreciated.

to correct this: sometimes, apparently, disabling , reenabling wireless doesn't work either, , have restart. -_-
