Thread: Static Routing command


hi.
running virtual box 2 vms (debian 6) on ubuntu 12.04 host.
1 of vm dhcp server , has 3 nics. 1 connected internet (nat through virtualbox) , 2 nics connected internal networks.

clients pcs can ip dhcp server i.e. vm debian 6. how internet working on them?


here configuration.

eth0 - 10.0.2.15 - connected internet nat (virtualbox gui)
eth1 (dhcp) - 192.168.1.x - connected switch. client pcs connect switch.
eth2 - 192.168.2.x - other internal network.

if add command, dhcp stops working.

route add -net 192.168.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 10.0.2.15 eth0
i not sure if right command. please help!
