Thread: Auto update ran, reboot, can't get resolution back


i'm new, , when notice there updates install it. greek me.

had think pad w530 few weeks. ubuntu 12.04 lts installed vesa: nvidia geforce graphics.

after re-starting recent updates laptop display resolution lower before. if go display settings best can 1024 x 768. nice fine resolution had before, , want go it, don't know how.

had installed nvidia proprietary driver? if not, think should try. need "additional drivers" application. click or right click on icon cog wheel near search box in dash. should offer you, long have internet connection, recommended driver install.
