How to switch from one type layer to another?

is possible, without having use mouse manually select different tool, move editing type on 1 layer type on different layer?

here's frustration: when i'm editing type on 1 layer, love able use keyboard command "refresh" type tool , able click on text layer , start editing there.

but of course, whatever key use try , -- example, typing m select move tool -- types "m" selected text layer.

if memory serves me (and might not), thought there keyboard command in long ago , far away version of photoshop. might have been lost in subsequent releases.

the way know how is: (1) edit text in first layer, (2) use mouse select different tool tool palette, (3) reselect text tool (or use t keyboard command that, , (4) select second text layer want edit.

simply 1 many clicks liking.

can't way:

1. edit text in current layer - , don't hit 'enter' when you're finished typing text, leave cursor flashing on document

2. click on different layer (on layers panel) want edit next

3. move cursor document edit next bit of text on layer selected - way, text tool still active tool, never have switch tools

??
