Thread: Proftpd + MySQL jailing user home directories

hey ya'll don't know if possible or not. have bunch of virtual users in mysql db , have proftpd setup use info login ftp users. sample table entry is

code:
userid | passwd | uid | gid | homdir | shell ejacob | test123 | 4004 | 4400 | /home/somerandomuuid | /sbin/nologin
the homedir column /home/somerandomuuid

when ftp user logs in creates user home dir in /home/somerandomuuid , jails user directory using defaultroot.

possible have proftpd append location ftp user home dirs receives without changing table entry.

instead of /home/somerandomuuid located /var/ftpdata/home/somerandomuuid. rather not mess table if @ possible. helps separate ftp user homedir , system user homedirs. input in this.
