Thread: Kubuntu & Calligra

hey guys,

long time kubuntu user, , koffice/calligra fan, quite excited see decided give calligra little more limelight , install default.

however, can't wonder if little premature. as love calligra, still regularly find myself having go libre office final touch, makes use of it's ability save file ".doc". (although microsoft's office having support .odt, becoming less of issue.)

wondering if out there using kubuntu has given spin, , thoughts are. premature, or think it's ready, or right amount of premature "after lts release"?

p.s. i've been using kubuntu 12.10 since alpha 3, , @ stage still considering using calligra. result, have both lo , calligra, don't know if decided axe lo on final release or if it's included on default install.

i've been keeping eye on koffice/calligra development years, , on 1 hand don't think it's ready prime time; on other, if don't folks using , putting through paces, never ready.

downside that, reason, people try kubuntu/kde don't seem understand can run applications like, if aren't kde applications, you'll see lot of comments this:

"i tried kubuntu, calligra couldn't open word docs went ubuntu".
