Copy value from one field in subform, to another field in a different subform

hi all.  have been , forth enterprise support, , telling me want impossible.  find hard agree with, hoping can here.  have document creating, based off xml.  page consists of header subform, flowing table of variable name, , footer.  problem comes in, when table flows mutliple pages, header subform not repeat, though have set overflow header.  according enterprise support, design.  header repeat on footer page, if on separate page, not when table flows page.  so, came solution create additional header in table, merge cells 1 column, , copy subform new header.  set header appear on subsequent pages.  so, when preview document, shows static text fine, expect, text fields blank.  need way of copying values original header subform, newly created table header subform.  values different based on teh xml input, meaning first 3 pages have 1 set of values, , next 3 another, etc..  see sample below...

so, if bind original header namevaluename, show on first page has header, , third page has footer.  2nd page, has table flowed it, has blank value.  tried put code in initialize event of both text boxes, copy mainheader.namevaluename tableheader.namevaluename, didn't work properly. 

 

any ideas on how this?

have tried in initialize event of tableheader.namevaluename :

 

$.rawvalue = mainheader.namevaluename.rawvalue

 

when in script, can hold ctrl , click on field (mainheader.namevaluename), way have exact correct path.

 

otherwise, not sure if problem, have tried using masterpages?
