Thread: Can't upgrade or add/remove packages. Wine issue?


hey everybody! went upgrade 12.10 , began downloading packages update manager disappeared. tried restarting said there broken packages repaired either in synaptic or using apt-get -f install. tried both things still having issues. output terminal:

after operation, 114 mb disk space freed.

i have tried several things , seems me issue have installed wine1.3 , wine1.4. not sure when happened don't use wine, have been unable delete either command (purge, autoremove, etc). there must missing , hoping here knew thing was...

boot on recovery mode
select root command
, edit /etc/apt/sources.list nano
comment out genuine ubuntu archives (main, universe, multiverse, restricted)
run again: clean/autoclean/autoremove , update
if fail, purge cache: sudo rm /var/apt/cache/archives/*
, update again
can exit select "repair packages" previous menu

note: remember use deborphan & bleachbit clean room time time.
