welcome forums.

boot repair isn't in main repositories (although i've heard there plans include in future releases).

can add yann's boot repair ppa following command. (yann boot repair's developer.)
code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair sudo apt-get update
then should able install boot-repair.

note: if you're using 12.10, it's been changed apt-add-repository instead of add-apt-repository.
apparently, case beta versions.
