AME CS6 vs Compressor

when compressing using mpeg2-dvd match attributes preset in ame, i'm left 2 thin horizaontal black bars on side, default, remedy this, have select "scale fill".

when using compressor, if select dvd preset, deliver outputted file without horizaontal black bars.

so curious why ame way? futhermore, since compressor not scaling the image, it's not blowing picture. blow small in ame still.

we don't want cut or stretch video, scaling that's why don't scale default.

match attributes mpeg2 dvd preset matches attributes while making sure still support dvd standards.

that means source has have standard dimensions (ex: 720x480) in order not see black bars default.

what dimensions of compressor output vs ame output?
