Thread: Removing all audio related packages

i'm in process of creating custom live cd based on lubuntu 12.04 (as part of internship).
since won't using audio , due possible license , patent issues, company i'm working have audio codecs , such removed (like ffmpeg, lame mp3, mplayer, etcetera etcetera).
can done without breaking stuff?
(i tried remove them using apt-get, wanted remove other programs chromium well.)

and, since won't using audio, possible remove alsa, esound, etcetera?

if these packages owned main/universe/multiverse, not need worry patents etc.
trying remove "pulse" example, beeing part of bunch of crossed dependencies, give more work thinking
