ways install software in kubuntu, in order of ease:


3. terminal
open terminal, konsole if you're using kde. can find opening menu , going system > konsole.
search program:

code:

apt-cache search search_term

to install program:

code:

sudo apt-get install program_name

the above methods safest, easiest , best ways install software on system. packages ubuntu repositories contain software specially made system , malware free. can install software not found in repositories well, sure trusted source.

can ask further question on this. trying install parallels - system switch windows can use myob. not know how install it. using trial first. type parallels instead of program_name above or missing entirely? did .run file have no idea that? noob!
