Thread: BCM4313 - STA driver won't work unless I 'modprobe wl' after each boot

a strange 1 (then again, i'm missing obvious here).

i've been using brcmsmac months, in 12.10 (with latest kernel) it's buggy me - disconnecting every few minutes, while network-manager still thinks it's connected. manual disconnect , reconnect through network-manager fixes things, few minutes.

switched sta driver. took few hours of trial , error work, it's working. is, if i

code:
sudo modprobe wl
after each boot. otherwise, nothing. network-manager doesn't think has wireless card available. "enable wireless" missing, , "enable networking" checked.

after run modprobe command above, automagically sees card, , uses connect.

i've added command /etc/rc.local, feels hacky. there way make card become 'alive' on each boot without modprobe? needless say, never happened me while using brcmsmac.

details can give - ask away, naturally.

ubuntu 12.10, dell inspiron 13r (n3010), bcm4313 [14e4:4727].

hi, should fix ya up..

code:
sudo echo 'wl' >> /etc/modules
