Thread: lo-menubar in for LibreOffice in 12.10

hi,

heavy libreoffice user , struggling bugs have arrived incorporation of global menus in 12.10. have read in number of bug reports mentions should install 'lo-menubar' around these problems application worked better integrated global menus.

when try install 'lo-menubar' message there unmet dependencies. looking @ synaptic see installing lo-menubar means uninstalling both 'libreoffice-gnome' , 'libreoffice-gtk'. these seem important elements , don't want break system, or libreoffice.

tell me whether safe go ahead lo-menubar installation in 12.10?

thanks.

p.s. bugs experiencing catalogued elsewhere:

1. hud not working: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...e/+bug/1061225
2. menu items not responsive: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...e/+bug/1081886
3. menu items not accessible: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...f/+bug/1059814

in fit of rage @ not being able 'save as' on document , not being able insert footnote, uninstalled both 'libreoffice-gtk' , 'libreoffice-gnome'.

unable install lo-menubar seems reliant on libreoffice-gtk, wanting remove it.

without global menus , hud functionality , have nasty looking libreoffice interface, menus responsive.

if has more functional (global menus , hud) , aesthetically pleasing solution, please let me know.

thanks.
