Thread: Error: out of disk

i did stupid. saved files , ran out of disk space. can no longer boot system. instead prompt "grub rescue." not need files taking disk space.

how delete files?

when boot off cd, gui shows me files not let me delete them. when command line prompt via terminal, can't boot disk in order delete files.

help! do delete files eating disk?

while booting cd, open terminal and:

code:
sudo nautilus
that open file manager root. careful. delete files want gone.

while you're there, need expand/shrink partitions booting cd (the partitions in question need unmounted), give space.
