Thread: MMIO Address Already in Use (Sort of)

hi,
i'm sure there must simple fix have tried looking everywhere. anyhow here's problem.

have 1tb drive, 80gb drive, , dvd rom, can have 2 of them hooked @ once. running windows 7 on 1tb drive , had installed ubuntu onto 80gb drive secondary os using windows installer.

decided rid entire os of windows backed important files 1tb drive onto remaining space of 80gb drive. unplugged 80gb , plugged in dvd rom , used format , install ubuntu onto 1tb drive.

now, using 1tb drive , dvd rom works perfectly, however, if remove dvd rom , replace 80gb drive backed files error:
sb5100 tco timer: mmio address in use 0xfec000f0 in use, , freezes.

i'm guessing there conflict when 80gb drive plugged in because has windows installed version of ubuntu on it? there way can recover files it?

nevermind risked hot swap , luckily worked out. i'll mark thread solved.
