hey got ubuntu server set up, automounts couple of external usb harddrives. wanna make folder links every file folders on usb drives special folder, possible? tryed doing "sudo ln -s /media/usb0/photos/*" , typed when in folder wanted links, told not create symbolic link, file exists? in past few months, can no longer use creative pc cam 300 webcam (usb, 041e:400a). when plug in, no video device appears in /dev/ it. poking around, i've discovered model of camera has entry in /lib/udev/rules.d/40-libgphoto2-2.rules seems load sort of photo downloading driver takes precedence on video functionality require. i've made swf animations in flash i'm importing.  in flash, have things sliding off stage.  when put swf file in captivate, see items moving outside of boundries of swf file i've placed.  there way make swf files "window" don't see items sliding off stage? create flash file document same size captivate project, , create mask rectangle same size project height , width.  mask entire animation in flash disappears once goes beyond mask.  import version of animation captivate. since updating mavericks, ae cc no longer opens.   creative cloud claims ae cc date.   i unable install 12.1 or 12.2 updates manually. simplt says "update failled - contact support if problem persists"     note: premiere, bridge, indesign, illustrator, photoshop , flash cc appear working fine. same problem here (posted forum accident).   i cannot launch after effects 12.0 or 12.2 on 10.9 (mavericks) mac. tried uninstalling , reinstalling, , building new installer. upon launching, ae says "the application "adobe after effects cc" can't opened." -10810. forcing update fails because says updates suppresed administrator, not (i admin). help??
