Thread: How do I set owner and access permissions on a mounted partition?


hi! have ntfs partition mounted @ /home/svz/data. default owner of directory , subdirectories root. how can change owner , access permissions entire partition or subdirs?

tried use `sudo chown` , `sudo chmod` results in nothing happening.

ntfs defective , cannot handle regular permissions.

you'll have mount partition using uid , gid options. problem ntfs comes often. here details on setting up:
