Changing xml in LiveCycle to enable pdf email submit

i've read quite a bit question.  is:  can change xml code in livecycle of interactive pdf make work when displayed in browser?  i've read

form submit / email demystified, quite cannot quite grasp it.  did find people asking question in forum , posted following: "

what finaly did:

 

found line:

 

<submit format="xml" textencoding="utf-8" target="mailto:"/>

 

 

changed to:

 

<submit format="pdf" textencoding="utf-8" target="mailto:"/>

 

 

resaved document, , worked."

 

 

this post few years old however.  tried , code looks this:

<submit textencoding="utf-16" xdpcontent="pdf datasets xfdf" format="pdf" target="mailto:

 

i'm assuming because it's newer version of acrobat.

 

can tell me need change code in order email submit button work, or if indeed require me find script me.

if understand problem correctly want submit document email pdf vice xml. if correct have open object library (shift f7), select submit tab , change submit dropdown option xml pdf.
