Thread: Fresh 12.10 no sound in build-in speakers, sound on headphones. Worked in 12.04

i have strange problem after upgrading 12.04 12.10. (now have done fresh install, , problem persist) have sound in headphones/line out not on build in speakers. have checked alsamixer , seems working (i can see volum indicater jumping , down while playing music). nothing muted, sound in headphones no sound on speakers. works when use lubuntu 12.04 live cd. on macbook air 1.1. have idea wrong?

might need turn system speakers:
in terminal:

from there adjust sound levels

me no sound when installing 12.04 or 12.10 until switch sound cards:

sudo su cd /usr/share/alsa  cp -p alsa.conf alsa.conf.dist  sed -i 's/card 0/card 1/g' alsa.conf

just paste terminal , run whole thing, of course after hitting enter enter password.

still don't sound button on panel, haven't tried yet:

sudo apt-get install xfce4-mixer gstreamer0.10-alsa

i after updates , installs finish. finished install last night lubuntu , waiting of applications now. if before i'll let know how goes.
