Thread: Menu Not Showing When Window is Maximized

i have removed global app menu prefer have minimize, maximize, close buttons on right side of each app. did no problem in 12.04. did upgrade 12.10 , noticed chrome, chromium , firefox use global menu.

have done following:

sudo apt-get autoremove appmenu-gtk appmenu-gtk3 appmenu-qt

have disabled firefox extension. removed corresponding firefox package still have global menu.

tried gconf apparently not work in 12.10. tried dconf , found fix on google: org > gnome > desktop > wm > preferences, "button_layout" on right panel. here problem, after desktop, not have 'wm'.

reset unity , got message saying wm missing.

rebooted , opened chrome , still no fix. clicked maximize , once chrome not maximized anymore, minimize, maximize, close buttons show in chrome. same firefox!

ideas? stumped. firefox , chrome work fine in kde plasma , gnome when maximized. sorry long post!

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action

Thread: "Broken" background image with Super Key
