Thread: Wired Network disconnected when cable from Switch

hi,

did lot of research resolve "wired network disconnected" issue couldn't find information writing in forum help.

have installed ubuntu 12.10 , have 3 quad nic ethernet card + 1 ethernet port in motherboard, ethernet ports being detected ubuntu , if plug internet cable in port , can browse internet without issue , me understand quad nic cards fine since use port connect internet 1 one, if take cable cisco switch , inject in 1 of quad nic card port, ubuntu shows stauts connecting , shows "wired network disconnected" , keep happening time connecting , disconnected.

on same port if inject internet cable works , shows "wired network connected" won't work when cable coming switch.

read different threads , tried implement sort of solution won't help

looking hope can put me in right direction.

regards,
you seeing effects of spanning tree protocol (stp). normal activity. there can single active path between 2 network nodes in ethernet lan (subnet). in other words; nodes (endpoint) should have 1 port per lan unless bond ports create single path or fall situation (hot standby).

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action

Thread: "Broken" background image with Super Key
