Thread: shotwell doesn't see my canon camera

-

i don't use camera much. i'm pretty sure didn't connect computer since got new hard drive , reinstalled ubuntu in august. there have been couple of birthday parties since , school event or 2 , thought idea copy pictures hard drive , them ubuntu one. got out cable , plugged in usb port , instead of question want import pictures query, software want run. funny, never happened before. select shotwell, because sounds vaguely familiar , don't remember using before, f-spot maybe? shotwell starts , doesn't see camera. doesn't seem general problem. can't find on google or forums other people having trouble this. should next?

i never had problems shotwell, don't know may problem. able import pictures no matter camera plugged in.

if happen have card reader transfer pictures way.
