Thread: Remote X applications failing due to fonts problems

since have upgraded 10.04 12.04 have not been able run variety of remote x-applications satisfactorily.
problems may due not having correct xfonts installed not sure
how go doing that. downloading font managers etc. did not help.
example sge ( sun grid engine ) qmon fails start
, ansys selects font looks chinese writing.

has else had similar problems , managed round them ?

i have resolved these problems copying x11 fonts working installation
ubuntu workstation under directory ;
<home_directory>.fonts/fonts

looks line fonts.cfg file in /etc/fonts pointing wrong directory

<dir> entry reads; <dir>/usr/x11r6/lib/x11/fonts</dir>

x11 software not installed under /usr/x11r6 .

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action

Thread: "Broken" background image with Super Key
