How do I colour underneath black lines?

having scanned black-and-white linework image onto computer , opened in photoshop, start colouring it, background.

 

however; know there´s way tell program colour white parts, while ignoring black lines. remember having seen 1 of instructors doing @ point, don´t remember how. please help.

 

i´m not entirely sure version of photoshop university using, think it´s cs6.

place blank layer under line art.  set bend mode of line art multiply.  can paint on blank layer , lines or line art show time.

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action

Thread: "Broken" background image with Super Key
