Thread: Samba Server with 12.04 x64


i trying samba file server running @ home , every guide find makes straight forward. problem samba configuration directory read , cannot change cannot configure samba

1. have selected samba option installing ubuntu 12.04 server
2. have tried configure smb.conf using nano cannot write due read only.
3. cannot change directory read only, if stop service.

can help, please. want server run samba can have file server @ home.
running on xenserver 6 , hp microserver.
can confidant can running if can edit smb.conf file per online based instructions.

hi all, looks did above okay , committed on server reboot. wondering if because running 2 virtual machines of sata raid1? or new thing 12.04 since 10.04?
