Thread: Stop Install icon from regenerating on persistent USB

title says really, have usb persistent install using casper-rw partition. works great, persistence works except there seems process generates install icon on desktop every time boot. suggestions on how prevent icon showing up?

thanks!

32 bit ubuntu 12.04 (gnome)
installed usb yumi, casper-rw ext4 partition working persistence.

it's mounted on desktop. means can unmount using umount command won't persistent. you'll have edit fstab file permanently remove it.
code:
gksudo gedit /etc/fstab
you'll want line says "installer" somewhere in it. recommend commenting out (with # in front of line) rather deleting it.

edit: if you're not familiar this, recommend post /etc/fstab file here can tell precisely do.

documentation you:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/au...temwide_mounts
you're reversing this.

here's introduction mounting & unmounting if you're unfamiliar:
