Thread: Having trouble doing ANYTHING in linux

ok jumped right linux , have been trying past 4 days straight ... in , cant simplest thing in windows. dont know do!!!

try copy paste, dont have permission
way root permission doesnt work (gksudo nautilus other commands)
try command line (cp place place) , either copying doesnt exist or place telling go doesnt exist
cant download themes , when dont know them
same screen savers

knew wasnt going easy didnt think going impossible ...

im sorry frustrated , have no idea turn. have posted on 4 different forums (with speciffic problems) no luck answers, went linux mint irc room.

there can me - tutorial, how ... ...

be patient, learning linux lengthy process.

files you'll have deal on daily basis, in /home folder, therefore there no reason use sudo/gksu. specific file want copy, , where, , why?

please specific questions , we'll our best help. may want create separate thread each question, descriptive thread title.

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action

Thread: "Broken" background image with Super Key
