Lightroom 5 freezing when importing

i using trial version of lightroom 5 see if it. when import photos camera (canon 550d), seems take in couple @ time. freezes when gets video file. know why is? not sure if i'm going buy if doesn't work....

try unchecking video items , import photos first. lightroom should import them , build previews quite quickly. uncheck photos , select videos separate import. can work on photos whilst lightroom importing videos in background.

 

before start, check preview settings. if set size , quality large slow down importing. go to:

 

edit >> catalog settings

 

click file handling tab. recommend following settings:

 

standard preview size - 1024 pixels

preview quality – medium

discard 1:1 – after 30 days

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action

Thread: "Broken" background image with Super Key
