Why does adding a clip on top of a clip force a gap in V1?

i added b&w clip v2; , placed on top of clip there.  surprise gap opened in v1.

 

how can prevent that, or close gap created action?

when drag second clip, hold down ctrl key, underlying clips not rippled.

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action

Thread: "Broken" background image with Super Key
